Stimulation from The Renewable Energy Directive
The Renewable Energy Directive (RED) could ensure that national support schemes have sufficient value in them to incentivise the rapid return of commercial sailing cargo ships and in return these vessels would provide significant contribution to meeting the new EU targets for renewable energy in transport.
