GWAIn early 2009 B9 co-founded the Global Wind Alliance to take care of out of warranty wind turbines across the world by providing a global network of expertise for all wind farm owners. Launched in Chicago in May 2009 this collaborative network underlines the speed and efficacy of working together.
 
 
B9 Shipping is now developing a collaborative network to create a shipping industry viable for the 21st Century and beyond.
 
Humphreys Yacht Design are responsible for world famous yachts including Dame Ellen MacArthur’s world record breaking Open 60, 'Kingfisher' - HYD acted as principal naval architects. HYD designed Dee Caffari's record breaking 72 foot steel built yacht, 'Aviva'. 'Aviva' was one of the 12 strong Global Challenge fleet that completed over 1 million sea miles between them, 300 000 in the Southern Ocean, without any material failure.  KingFisher
The team at Humphreys are committed to seeing sail power on commercial vessels as a means of reducing emissions from commercial shipping. Their innovative thinking, deep knowledge and wide experience make them ideal founding members of B9 Shipping's collaborative networks.
 
The Wolfson Institute, a division of Southampton University's School of Engineering Sciences, operates a consultancy service in ship design, yacht design, small craft design, naval architecture, marine technology and industrial aerodynamics, providing Tank Testing, Wind Tunnel Testing, Consultancy, Design Software, Onboard Systems and Innovative Research to a world wide customer base. B9 Shipping testing programme will be run with the Wolfson Unit.
 
 
AvivaJim Moore's Steel Kits, will be interpreting HYD designs for the steel plate manufacture. Jim worked with HYD on the Global Challenge yachts. By using computer modelling Steel Kits substatially reduce build costs and decrease scrap. Steel Kits was awarded the British Nautical Award for Design and Innovation.
 
 
Corus are providing the steel plate for B9 Ships. 
 
The Met Office  will provide detailed route analyses to include
consideration of  tidal currents, load conditions, significant wave
heights and turn-around times to deliver a sophisticated weather routing system.
 
Graig Investments Ltd, a part of the Graig Group, who are advising on technical ship management, newbuilding supervision, ship design, ship owning and ship finance.
 
International Paint will provide B9 Shipping with biocide-free foul release coating, Intersleek, which improves vessel efficiency through reducing hull roughness. The product has a “slippy” surface which fouling organisms find it very difficult to adhere to.
Intersleek has received a number of awards since its introduction for deep-sea commercial vessels in 1996:- 
1997 – Seatrade Award for Countering Marine Pollution (Intersleek 425)
2007 – Queens Award for Innovation and Technology (Intersleek 700)
2008 – Seatrade Cruise Insider Award for “Environmental Initiative” (Intersleek 900)
 
Team Humber Maritime Alliance are collaborating with B9 Shipping in the ship building programme.
 
Marine South East are driving the collaborative process with B9 Shipping.
 
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency  are providing B9 Shipping advice, support and assistance all aspects of marine safety and environmental evaluation.
 
Hull University Logistics Institute have been comissioned to assist in B9 Shipping's logistics analyses.
